How long will it take to install?

Because SIP Trunks are enabled over your existing data connection, it can be done quickly, and you do not need to wait for any further equipment, cabling or networks to be installed.

We would also advise that a SIP Trunk port from BT takes up to 30 days, and from any other provider can take up to 90 days.

Why should I change to SIP Trunking?

The great thing about SIP is that it also encompasses video, voice, and text, making it multi-functional in the workplace. SIP also makes it possible for users to use their preferred number wherever they are located, and to keep your number even when you move offices.

What limits are there?

The only limit is any broadband constraint that may be in place. For that reason, we recommend that you upgrade to a direct broadband connection to enable the best use of your SIP trunking.

What about when my business grows?

SIP Trunking is completely expandable, and extremely flexible. No extra purchases will be needed, and the network can grow simply by activating further circuits.

How many do you recommend we install?

There are no limits on the number of calls that can be sent over a single trunk, but do bear in mind that network bandwidth is taken up with every call, so a fast broadband connection is needed for the best quality service.

How many SIP trunks work best for your business depends on the amount of calls coming through; a call centre may have one SIP trunk per operator. More typical companies might have one SIP trunk for every 5 or 6 phones.
